Beaumont, CA - On January 31, 2022, the Beaumont Police Department issued a press release with a composite drawing of a possible suspect in the murder of Leo Miguel Delara, age 45, of Cherry Valley (see prior releases below). Information provided by the public, and then from interviews, led to additional information and a sketch of a possible second suspect. The Beaumont Police Department is asking the public to review this second drawing and help in identifying the suspect. On January 20, 2022, the Beaumont Police Department issued a release requesting information on the murder of Leo Miguel Delara, age 45, of Cherry Valley (see prior releases below). Information provided to investigators enabled a sketch artist to create a possible composite drawing of a suspect who may have been involved in the murder of Delara.

The Beaumont Police Department continues to actively investigate a homicide which occurred in the 100 block of Myrl Drive on March 18, 2020 (refer to original press release below). Investigators have continued to follow leads and interview witnesses in an effort to solve this case.
Information that once may have seemed insignificant could prove to be the missing element in solving the murder of Leo Delara, age 45, of Cherry Valley. The public is strongly urged to submit any information they feel may be important to this case to Sergeant D. Wann at 951-769-8500. On Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at approximately 8:53 p.m., the Beaumont Police Department received a 911 call regarding a shooting that had occurred at a residence in the 100 block of Myrl Drive in the City of Beaumont. Officers arrived and located a male and a female suffering from gunshot wounds. The male victim died at the scene and the female was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses reported observing two suspects wearing dark hoodies leave the residence on foot. Officers conducted a thorough search of the area but were unable to locate the suspects.
